Episode 26: Police Story (1985) & Shang Chi (2021)

This week Mike and I discuss a confluence of kung fu, with Jackie Chan's Police Story (1985) & Disney Marvel's Shang Chi (2021).

While Shang Chi is just good, Police Story was a revelation for me personally. Even back in Hong Kong, before he made his move to Hollywood, Jackie Chan proves he is the master of physicality - in both stunts and comedy. I cannot recommend Police Story highly enough!

Next, Mike tells me about the problems with Netflix's Red Notice (2021) and how The Rock brings all his works to... "pretty good." I then tell Mike about this sci-fi film I saw recently on Amazon Prime that was also, "pretty good," Coherence (2013).

In the last few minutes, Mike and I talk about my issues with Apple TV+'s Foundation season one, our excitement for the Halo: Infinite beta and my enjoyment of the latest singles from Pinegrove.
